futuristic options
The MO crew did some compare and contrast riding of novelty transit options this weekend. The monorail was notable for its impressive speed and interior layout. The SLUT was notable for its unimpressive slowness and insessant honking.We concluded that Monorail and SLUT are primarily novelties and not of great intereast to the serious spotter.
More of interest: A Metro maintainance crew was observed working on a stranded 4200 series coach. A worker noted that it had the "old battery" and therefore lost power when the handi-ramp was lowered. hmmm...
